— 2-year naturalistic study, a total of 2,752 MyBrainSolutions users trained to a minimum required level and completed assessments of cognitive and emotional states pre- and post-training. The relationships between game play and improvement in assessment scores were established using linear regression models. The most significant benefits were found for games training positivity to improve scores within anxiety, stress, and depression. Training in self-regulation was found to be beneficial in terms of improved memory, attention, and executive function and reduction in anxiety, stress, and depression levels.
— Hanna et al (2016) In this study, they aimed to investigate the primary cognitive and emotional capacities that support entrepreneurial success in order to provide unique brain-training strategies.250 successful entrepreneurs (Entrepreneur’s Organization; EO) were recruited to take the My Brain Solutions Assessment. The study group population (EO) showed significant elevation in motor processing, cognitive flexibility, recall memory, perceived resilience and positivity bias. Compared to the control group, the EO group also had higher levels of perceived stress, and a decreased ability to sustain attention.
–Loughead et al (2016) Adult treatment-seeking smokers (n = 213) were randomized to receive nicotine patch therapy and 12 weeks of cognitive training with mybrainsolutions or computerized relaxation (control) training. Quit rates did not differ by treatment arm at either time-point, nor were there effects on withdrawal symptoms or smoking urges. Reaction time for emotion recognition and verbal interference tasks showed improvement in the CT group.
–O’Connor et al (2010) This study evaluated whether Self Regulation training influences workplace productivity. 5,550 employees from major corporations were recruited to participate. They were required to complete 20 minutes of brain training 3x/week for 30 days. Those who completed the requirement in training (N=175), demonstrated a significant improvement in their self regulation score after 30 days. Workers with higher capacity for self regulation scored higher for workplace productivity.
