Joyable is a web-based program that utilizes the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help users overcome Social Anxiety Disorder. After completing a short questionnaire, users are connected with a live coach who guides them through the program, providing information, support and feedback. A personalized plan is then created based on both the questionnaire and the user’s interactions with the coach.
Joyable recommends that a typical program last three months. This plan includes learning skills for recognizing triggers, challenging problematic thought patterns, and relaxation techniques for reducing anxiety. Users then are guided to apply and practice these skills in progressively more difficult situations. Joyable is designed to be engaging and easy to use, and may be a helpful option for potential users who lack access to more traditional mental health services.
